This is not really a surprise and it's not because American doctors are in any way inadequate. However, while virtually all US medical school graduates will eventually go on to practice medicine, residency and fellowship slots that go to J-1 and H-1B doctors are filled by doctors who generally finish near the top of their medical school classes. Americans who worry that they are getting inferior medical care going to a internationally-educated doctor should feel more at ease after seeing this data. One group that didn't do well - American-born doctors who go to medical school overseas.

First check if the check you or your company sent for H-1 fees got cashed , if so see behind the check ( normally banks post scanned copy of check ) the Receipt number will be written behind the check ..hope this helps

I have visa stamp in the name of previous employer and I 797 from current employer. I have traveled with these and had no problems at re-entry.
But previous employer has completed processing of my H1B cancellation. Can I still re-enter with visa stamp in the name of previous employer?

Some big compromises in the House version that dropped this morning. First, there will be $2525 in filing fees, $525 of which is due at the outset and $2000 of which is paid five years in to the ten year conditional non-immigrant period. That should presumably answer critics who complain that DREAM will add to the deficity. Also, conditional status is granted in two five year terms and the college education/military service requirements must be met in the first five year term in order to get the extension approved. Your post raises so many questions it is hard to know where to start.
The obvious one is if you do not have an employer, how have you got an H1B visa since it is the employer who petitions for it?
Second thought, where are you right now? Still in your own country or the USA?
In response to your question about a green card. If you are going to follow the employment based route, by definition, you are going to need an employer to get this process rolling. Starting with PERM labor certification.

Filed July 1st 2007 and my I-485 was transferred from NSC->CSC->NSC. Have a I-485 receipt # that starts with WAC, but is currently pending at NSC. Any recent WAC# approvals?
Tried opening a SR - the SR# ends with CSC. I don't think it will help as SR was directed to wrong Service Center.
In addition to all USCIS inefficiencies, this transfer between service centers makes my case all the more confusing and even more unlikely to be approved anytime soon. Very frustrating!!
