Hello all, my apologies if you find my question naiive. We got our fingerprinting appt. notice in the mail yesterday with an EAC application no. When I look that number online it says case has been transferred to Texas and notice of transfer sent. Fine. I am not anxious or anything just wondering if a receipt will be generated now at Texas or would one have been generated at Nebraska and sent to the lawyer? The reason I as is I have been holding back travel plans and wanted to start looking at flights etc. if I know the receipt is either on its way or at the lawyer's already.

BTW the application was sent to Nebraska on July 30 and I140 had already been approved from Nebraska earlier this year.

I work for one of the biggest software companies which deals with PERM cases a lot. However, my case got audit notice and I'm really confused now.
My PD is Jan-19-2009 and I received my audit notice in 11/2009, and we replied in 12/2009. I just learnt today that it might be very likely to take more than 2 years to clear such a case and there is possibility to be denied.
I'm very worried that I might lose my PD, is it really true that my case won't be cleared for at least another year?

Hello,
I joined and contributed already to the IV although I am not yet on the GC queue. I support you all with my heart.
I have a different concern about PERM filing. My application will be EB2 with Ms + 4 years as Senior Soft Eng, and my lawyer asked my manager to create the business necessity letter for MS degree. He is not experienced with this kind of paperwork and the lawyer seems to be just not helpful rather demanding... I was wondering if somebody in IV had to deal with this business necessity letter. Any information would be helpful...

Hi,
I got an LUD on my I140 on 07/28/07. There is no message change though. This I-140 was approved way back in Aug 2006. I have filed my I-485 etc on June 1st 07, and its in process. Does anyone know what doesn this LUD mean.

Dear attorney,
please help me understand my problem.
Through company A , My I 140 has been approved and have my 485 filed too ( i do not have the receipt number or the approval letter for the 140). I am still using the H1 from Company A
Can i move to Company B, on H1 transfer file Ac 21, and have perm and Labor approved through company B and then port the date of company A priority date
Without me having a proof of 140 approval will it be possible to port to the earlier date.

Visitor's visa for my parents expired recently (it was a 5 yr VISA & they visited here 3 times and returned within 6 months each time) and they want to re-apply for a visa. My question is - Do I still need to send in the Document of Support, Employer and Bank letter or they can re-apply without these documents? On the safer side, I am sending the documents but in my view there should not be a need for the support documents...Anyone in similar boat?

I just received my initial EAD and it is only valid for 1 year. My priority date is October 2006. Shouldn�t I have received an EAD valid for 2 years?

Hi,
I have been granted an asylum last year in July. I sent my I-485 to adjust my status this year on August 24th with the fee waiver form (sending proof of food stamp eligibility and supporting documents.)
Today is October 2nd(its been almost 40 days) and I have not received a document receipt from USCIS (we are a family of 3 and non of us has received anything in regards to this matter)
Please let me know what actions should I take or should i wait?! Is it possible to not get a receipt and just receive the finger print notice in the next few months?! (I just checked texas service center's processing times, and it says they are at March 28th,2010 now)

I just missed 120-90 day window for filing EAD. My EAD expires on oct 12 and today is July 12TH.
Other stats:
Have H1B active with current employer till Feb 2009
Just got my priority date current - EB2 July 2004 for India
I-140 approved, I-485 and I-140 filed last year receipt date Sept 2007
Questions:
How can I get new EAd now?
I can continune working on H1B correct?
Any impact on my 485 application that now will process due to PD being current?
