I faxed senator's office on sep 9th , then called this monday and they said I should get a response of inquiry in 30 days. No help from congressman's office. It has been more than a month after mailing the letter to them and folllowing up by phone calls. I have given up..

Hi,
My I-140 was approved in May and I am still waiting for I-485 approval. I filed in August 2007 concurrently and my Priority Date is June 2004.
I thought that concurrent filing will also mean concurrent approval, but may be this is not the case. Otherwise should I call NSC and ask them about it (whats the best way to call them ?)

I applied for I-485, I-140,and EAD almost 2 months ago..The package was received by USCIS but no receipts yet, no checks are cashed yet...We called and they said it may take 3 months to issue receipts...what should I expect?Receipts and approval of EAD in a month given that they usually honor the 3 months period to approve EAD?or nothing is guaranteed!!

I am wondering what happens if I buy some real estate property ( a condo unit) while I am on H1B, and if i moved out of country, (H1B - 6Yrs completed) do i need to sell the property (condo) before i leave country? Can i rent this unit while i am away from country? On a new H1B can i come and stay in that home? Anybody experienced this case before? Please give me details as much as possible. Thanks.

South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has said many times in the past that the GOP needs to move back to the middle on immigration reform. He's putting his money where his mouth is and is leading the GOP's pro-immigration wing as they work behind the scenes shaping the bill likely to be introduced in the next few weeks. I am thinking of applying for 485 right now, and 5 months later for my wife. Do the dates have to current when I apply for my wife. or it does not matter. Has any one done this where they applied for 485 when dates were current but for spouse at a latter date when the dates were backlogged again.

Hi All,
I just called USCIS using the POJ method to check on my I485 status which is current for June (EB2 India PD is 3/20/04).
IO said a visa needs to be ordered for the file and it will be done in the next quarter i.e, July 08.She also said the file will not be assigned to the IO unless the visa is ordered??
Does this mean that all the visas for EB2 have been used for this quarter? Also, not sure why the file wont be worked on until the visa is ordered...which contradicts the pre-adjudication theory.
